Hey, I’m Chris.
I am an SF-based founder building Data Science applications in manufacturing. Also looking for a co-founder. Reach out if you wanna chat!
Data Science and Engineering
Working for 6+ years as a data scientist at Twitter and 2 startups forced me to figure out how to do both the quick & dirty analysis and the larger projects to gamify the platform that impacted 200M DAU. Data allows us to understand users’ decisions and in some ways predict the future.
As an engineer, I have spent considerable time building data infrastructure and writing application code, and since quitting my job to start a company, I have built several prototypes (found in my Github).
My Background
Athletics
Collaborating as a team towards a common goal is in my nature. At Yale, we won a Division 1 National Championship in Men’s Lacrosse and I was twice named All-American. I went on to play professionally for two years after college as well. I now compete in triathlons and road races as part of the Golden Gate Triathlon Club in SF.
Startups
Working at multiple startups has made me extremely agile and ready to tackle the problem that needs to be solved, not just what fits in my job description. This has included data science, engineering, product management, marketing, sales, and investor relations.
Projects & Writings
[Article] Becoming a Founder in Data Science x Athletics
These two topics are areas of passion and expertise for me. I am currently exploring data science and how it applies to athletics/fitness, education, and climate.
[Project] Demo of EasyPad
Concept and creation of interior designer Collette Noll's website, with focus on her variety of client-forward services and recent successful collaborations
[Article] Why Senior Loneliness Matters
This was a previous exploration for a startup. I present both my personal tie to this problem and the business case for solving it. Unfortunately, this problem has extremely challenging distribution, and path to monetization is difficult.
[Project] Judgement Day
Hackathon project that won second place at Amid Labs Hackthon! It is an AI-powered hackathon judge - our product said that we should have come in first though.
[Project] Elder Companion
An AI agent for companionship - could be changed to any current or historical figure. The future direction was to feed video / audio of deceased family members as a way to remember them, but it got a bit too dystopian. Built at a one day hackathon.
